What Causes Left Sided Chest Pain While Taking Deep Breath?

My husband started having chest pain, mostly when he inhales deeply 3 days ago. At first it was on his left side, now just hurts in the middle. Still made worse by deep or heavy breathing. He has no other symptoms besides a slightly runny nose. He has complained a time or two of the room being too hot. What could this be?

Here respiratory causes has to be ruled out first like that of bronchitis....

Work up done with....
-Auscultation
-Chest x ray
-Spirometry to assess severity if bronchitis present
-CBC

You will be given decongestant like benadryl...

Vitamin c lozenges useful

Warm water used for drinking

If eosinophils high Allegra given

If bronchi constriction present than bronchodilator needed
