What Causes Large Swollen Lymph Node In The Groin?

Hello, I have what feels like a large swollen hard fixed lymph node on right side of my groin. It started about three weeks ago and has grown in size and texture (hard). I m starting to feel pain on right side of mons pubis now with swelling (and lump, may be more lymph nodes) and some burning pain in upper thigh. I cannot find any sores and have no vaginal discharge. I ve had two surgeries for bartholin abscess on both sides but this is more in the crease of my leg and groin. Any input would be great.

Hello,

Lymph node enlargement is basically a sign that there is a disease process (usually inflammation) from an area drained by the lymph node.
This may be in the groin or anywhere along the leg on the same side of the swelling.
A hard fixed lymph node is a concerning feature. This may be due to repeated infections or a more aggressive disease process.

I advise you to go get a physical examination from your doctor so that s/he can check for the source of inflammation.
