What Causes Lack Of Bowel Movement After Starting Meteospasmyl?

Excuse me doc...I have irritable colon and my doc gave me meteospasmyl capsules....since yesterday up to now I don not have any desire to go to toilet to pass stool, Should I leave this medicine or continue with it? i.e. is this short-term side effects or it is serious problem

I understand your problem.
Lack of bowel movement is the side effect produced by one of the components of Meteospasmyl. It is not a short term side effect.
Mild signs and symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome can be managed stress contol and making changes in your diet and lifestyle.
Dietary changes:
Eliminating high-gas foods, eliminating gluten. Fiber supplements such as psyllium or methylcellulose, with fluids may help control constipation.

For the control of diarrhea you can use Loperamide.
