What Causes Lack Of Appetite And Nausea While On Sulfameth?

Hello this is Silvia Garcia, I'm 20 and I've been taking the sulfameth for the urinary infection and now, I got so sick and was feeling nauseous which ending up refusing to eat and started seeing things in a slow motion. I also had a hard time to breathe and there were other times, I got dizzy or sometimes blackout per second, I'm worried. Is it the medicine's side effect, should I seek help for it?

Hello
You are taking sulfamethoxazole for urinary tract infection . This is a very good and most potent drug for UTI but its side effects are:
Nausea, vomiting , diarrhea, skin rashes, urticaria, dizziness anorexia for short term used .
Since you are having all these symptoms due to the side effects of sulfametho.
Either take some antacid along with this drug or take pantaloc-d with this drug .
Alternatively stop this drug if symptoms are very severe, then consult your doctor .
In UTI I prescribe "nitrofurantoin "100 mg twice in day + tablet pantaloc-d ( twice in day ).
If infection is acute uncomplicated dosage are 100 mg four times in day .
Consult your doctor and get his opinion if symptoms are unbearable.
