What Causes Knee Pain Despite Using Ibuprofen?

I am a 60 year old woman. Weight 122 lbs. height 5 3 .I have a painful knee after jogging on treadmill and have problems weight bearing. I am taking ibuprofen and painkillers and have used compression. It is worse after resting .What else should I do to alleviate it

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have knee pain despite using Ibuprofen. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like ACL injury , torn meniscus , bursitis , tendinitis or dislocated kneecap. I would suggest you to cnsult orthopedic surgeon if iburophen is not reliving pain . Doctor may order CT sca , MRI along wth physical examination . Doctr may recommend complete bed rest , particular exercises , physical therapy or surgery in severe damage . For now take proper rest , apply warm compresses several times a day .
