What Causes Itchy Scabs On Body?

I don t know what to do.. I have itchy scabs all over my body. First doctor exam she looked me over with coke bottle glasses and said, I didn t have scabies. That my sores are coming out of my follicle. She wanted another doctors opinion so he can in and asked me some questions and decided to diagnosed me with hand foot and mouth disease( cox sucky ). After a few weeks of it not getting any better my doc. Sent me to a dermatologists. Where he looked me over and said, I have scabies. He also took skin scrapings and that came up negative for scabies. But decided to treat me as if I had it. This didn t make sense to me but went with it anyways. But after all the treatments I still have the same symptoms. And I ve been told scabies isn t on the face or head. Also I have a 6 year old who sleeps in the bed next to me every night and she never got any bites or red bumps. Any ideas of what it could be?

Thanks for the query.
It is very difficult to find a scabies mite in a smear as it is often dislodged due to severe pruritus/ itching. Also the incubation period for scabies is around 45 days, thus your child may not be showing any symptoms. Also even after adequate treatment the symtoms can persist for 4-8 weeks.
You should elaborate the site of lesion. As scabies often involves the web spaces, flexors of wrist, cubital fossa, axilla, breats, groins. You should also describe the rash, if it is firm, transient, scaly etc.
Hope this solves your query.
