What Causes Itchy Rashes On The Back, Neck And Feet?

I m trying to figure out what the rash my grandkids could be have is. It started with the youngest about new years. It was first noticed on the back of her neck and then it spread all over including her feet and mouth. Her lounge was what. Now the middle has the rash and the older one is itching too. It s raised and red but it doesn t cover every inch of skin.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The itchy rashes your grandkids are having on their back, neck and feet are suggestive of possible viral infection. Please send me a picture so I can evaluate the changes there myself.

If not fluid-filled, then, it's probably due to the virus. Check the throat, as we want to exclude strep throat too.

However, this is associated with a fever. So, to me, better get them checked by paediatrician to determine the right diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
