Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Itchy Rashes On Back And Hair Loss Post Intake Of Clindamycin?
Tookclindimycin for tooth. Developed rash on back, under armpits, wrist. Stop taking yet rash lasted weeks after. Itch extremely bad and had some fluid in small red bumps. Feel better but not good at all. Nauseated. Some rash developed in head. Hair has come out too.
It is clear that you have antibiotic induced allergy that has caused rashes and red bumps but now it also appears like there has been infection leading to fluid filled bumps.. You should consult an Emergency room and get evaluated.. They can advise you a script of antibiotics after checking for compatible antibiotics that will not cause allergic reaction and along with it topical application of antiseptic ointment after cleaning the bumps with antiseptic lotion can be advised.. To reduce allergy and rashes you can be advised anti allergics like Benadryl or Allegra along with a steroid shot for faster relief.. Do cool compresses over the rashes..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
