What Causes Itchy Perineum While Using Canesten Cream For Vaginal Infection?
good day. my doctor diagnosed me with a vaginal infection and prescribed me a vaginal suppository and canesten cream.. the canesten must be applied 3x a day for 2wks.. the itchiness and swelling was gone in some parts after applying it for a week... but there is this one part... (the space between the vagina and anus) which when i apply the cream, it gets too itchy. is it normal? or do i have to discontinue the canesten?

if it causes you to itch so uncomfortable you should stop because it is a hypersensitivity reaction with imidazole derivatives in canesten. you still use at least enough members placed 2 weeks to avoid recurrence. and do not use more cream canesten.
