What Causes Itchy Eyes Along With Headaches And Blurred Vision?

I recently had a very bad upper respiratory problem that lasted about a month before it completely cleared up. Then about a week later, I started to experience what I think are allergy symptoms...scratchy eyes and headaches. I ve been taking an over the counter allergy medicine (which I do regularly) for about a week but it hasn t cleared up. My vision seems blurry too and I still have bad headaches despite taking ibuprophen.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Headache could be caused by a number of conditions. Sinusitis can present as a headache. In such case, pain may be present around eyeballs, cheeks or between eyes.

Migraine can present as a headache and may be associated with an aura (nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light).

It is also essential to check refractory power of your eyes and rule out glaucoma(raised pressure within the eyeball).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
