What Causes Itchy Dryness All Over Body?

I am having dryness all over my body followed with itch. I checked my sgpt,bilirubin in sept 18,2014 sgpt was 904 and bilirubin levels was 1.68 ; On October 8th the the bilirubin was r1.47 and sgpt was 328. On October 21 the bilirubin was 1.27 and sgpt was 65. All my he attics have come out negative. I have lost 5 kg of wait from sept to October and there has been no weight loss thereafter. Am I improving? Does sgpt levels fluctuate so rapidly as above. My doctor says I could have contracted transient hepatitis viral infection and dryness and itch could be because of the same. Any thoughts on what I should be doing next R

Yes you have sustained Hepatitis Infection most likely due to a Virus as most of the viral infection are self limiting . Yes dryness and itching can be seen in Hepatitis due to elevated Bilirubin levels , as elevated Bilirubin levels can irritation to nerve endings causing Itching .

SGPT levels can come down in Viral infections during the recovery phase or if medications has been started for that.

But what is puzzling me is the level of elevation of Bilirubin is very mild and whether that is the only cause or any other cause is also there .

I need to know are you on any kind of medications?

I advise you to get Absolute Eosinophil count, Serum TSH and Serum IgE levels to see if there is any allergy component for your Itching and Dryness problem.
