Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I noticed some small bumps that felt like mosquitoe bites on my back just 2 days ago. they don t seem to be in clusters, or one particular side of my back -however, i am concerned that this could be the beginning stages of Shingles. My back has been very itchy, and is now feeling very uncomfortable (i wouldn t call it pain though)... I did get a little bit of a sunburn last weekend, but have never experienced itchy bumps after a sun burn has healed... do you have any idea what this could be?
They're caused by a common virus called herpes simplex. Contact dermatitis is an allergic skin reaction that produces an itchy, red skin rash. Keratosis pilaris is a skin condition marked by an overgrowth of a protein called keratin.
It causes small bumps around hair follicles on the body. Kindly share the image of your lesion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
