What Causes Itchy Bumps On Skin?

I have a few itchy bumps on my skin. I originally thought they were bug bites but found absolutley no trace of bugs anywhere in my house. I now think its an allergic reaction possibly to laundry detergent, or fabric softner, possibly even dryer sheets. These dont appear on parts of my body where clothes arent, only underneath my clothes. does this happen often

Hello.

Thank you for asking at HCM.

I went through your history and would like to make suggestions for you as follows:

1. As they occur most often underneath clothes, I would agree they could be due to clothes themselves or laundry powder used for clothes. Please try to observe whether they occur with particular clothes/particular type of clothes for example, woolen clothes.

2. Were I treating you, I would suggest you to take an antihistamine like levocetirizine or fexofenadine for your symptoms.

3. I would also suggest you to apply lotion like calamine over the itchy areas. Please don't scratch itchy areas as scratching can worsen itching.

4. I would also suggest you to avoid wearing tight-fitting, woolen clothes. I usually suggest my such patients loose-fitting, cotton clothes.

5. Please avoid activities causing excessive sweating and avoid too hot or too spicy food as they can worsen symptoms.

Hope above suggestions will be helpful to you.

Should you have any further query, please feel free to ask at HCM.

Wish you the best of the health.

Thank you & Regards.
