What Causes Itchy Blisters On Exposed Skin?

I do not have bed bugs and have not seen fleas in my home but every time we sit on the couch we are bitten by something that we cant see. They have a bedbug/mosquito bite look as they leave large itchy whelps that sometimes have small blister look to the center. Whelps swell when scratched and last apprx 3-4 days. Really only bitten where skin is exposed. What in the world would this be? We do have a small short haired inside/outside dog.bryt

Hi.
As per your case history you are having either insect bite or a sunlight eruption on skin as it is seen only on exposed areas.
My treatment advice is -
1. Wear full sleeve clothes to avoid further such episodes.
2. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with spf more than 30.
3. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream twice daily on it.
4. Oral antihistamine like levocetrizine can be given for itching.
If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Thanks.
