I have currently been to the hospital about my anus it seems that I have a small pile nothing serious at all but I always get an itch around my anus and it always seems to have clear discharge around and inside the anus. What could this discharge be and why am I getting it?

Pathologist and Microbiologist, Dr. S. Samanta's Response
Hi, thanks for sharing your health concerns with HCM! If I were your treating Doctor for this case of itchy and discharging anus, I would come up with three possibilities, these include: 1. severe proctitis due to infection around the opening 2. infected sinus tract or inflamed anal fissure! 3. worms or amoebiasis or fungal infection I would suggest you to go for a routine stool examination and microbiological/microscopic test of the discharge for confirmation and to relieve your concerns!
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Wishing you good health.
