What Causes Itching On The Scalp And Face When Suffering From Fibromyalgia?

I suffer from chronic migraines & fibromyalgia. I no longer have any migraine free days. I have noticed in the last couple of months that I have itching. My scalp, face, ears, neck, arms. I m not sure what the cause is. As far as the chronic migraines the neurologist referred me back to my family Dr when the Botox injections failed. I ve been on every medication, have had 4 Sphenocath procedures, 2 occipital nerve blocks & 2 Botox injections. Thank you! Sincerely, Kelly Maggart

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Itching on the face and scalp are not symptoms of migraine or fibromyalgia. Probably a skin condition such as dermatitis should be considered and ruled out as the cause of it. You need to have a check with your doctor to determine the cause and get the proper treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
