What Causes Itching On The Face And Forehead?

Hi the last three nights in a row I have been waking up scratching my face. Mostly on my jaw, chin and forehead. There are red bumps like hives and it s swollen in the morning. It s only on my face..nowhere else on my body. I haven t used any new products or detergents. I just can t imagine what could be the causel

What I can see from the scenario you have described is the itchiness and red hives and all can be because of mosquitoes,ants or airborne insects as face is most exposed area.You have already ruled out allergy as you say you have not used any new cosmetics,dyes or detergents on your face recently.But it doesnot rule out urticaria,so you can also have anti histamines with consultation from your nearest doctor.Urticaria is a kind of allergy which can be provoked by certain food,medication or certain environmental conditions.What I can recommend is maintain personal hygiene by washing face every night before you go to bed.Keep your environment clean and take mosquito protection measures.Avoid scratching or irritating your skin,you can use calamine lotion over your face for that.
