What Causes Itching On Nipples?

I m trying to figure out why my breast nipples itch and is painful, could it have anything to do with at my last lab results, I have low Vitamin D and B12 or would it have anything to do with me hand pumping air in a rather large pillow last night it seems to have just started this morning, did I use more muscles than I should have?

Hello,
Itching and dryness of nipples can be caused due to loss of moisture in that region as it is a sensitive area of body.
No, low vit D and B12 wont cause itching of nipples neither do use of muscles will cause that.
It could also be caused if there is any fungal infection in that region.
Do you have any lesion over nipple? Or any colour change or is it differentfrom the other nipple in any way?
So, if its dry try applying some vaseline to it. If it doesnt help it will be advisable to consult a dermatologist to get a proper examination for any other pathology.
