What Causes Itching In Throat Along With Swelling In Tonsils?
Out in the rain didnt have a hat to cover my head. Now my throat hurts. Tonsils and back of throat hurt up toward nasal cavity. Sometimes it feels itchy. Cough drops kinda help while they last. And hot liquids ( coffee my preffered) seems to help ease the pain for a lil while. Anything to help with clearing it up. I possibly had already started with I sinus infection days prior. Pulling bloody sputum stuff from back of nasal cavity.

Ur suffering from acute pharyngo tonsillitis which is quite common in rain.
Itching is due to inflammation of pharyngeal mucosa.
U must start cetrizine with cough suppresants.
Azithromycin in 500 mg 1 dose per day will be of great help.
The pain and itching can be best resolved by doing gargles with luke warm water or betadine gargles.
If not resolved within 3-5 days than visit a physician.
