What Causes Itching Around The Cauterization Site On The Scrotum?

I had a bi-lateral vasectomy about 20 years ago. I ve never had any problems, however recently my left scrotum sometimes itches. The source of the itch feels like it s the tube around where it got cut and cauterized. What could be the cause of this?

Hello,

Itching can be there anywhere in the body. Maybe you have some allergic reaction to some cream used or something you used. Find out what could be the reason and stop that allergen.

Take an antihistamine like cetirizine or levocetirizine drug can help stop itching. Get a prescription for the same according to the body weight.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
