What Causes Itching And Yellow Vaginal Discharge Post Intake Of Yasmin?

Hello, Last month my friend had her periods on the 28th and the previous month on the 30th.. but this month she had an intercourse with her boyfriend on the 24th afternoon.. at first it was protected and then tried unprotected method but he did not ejaculate inside her.. but she was scared so she went and bought contraceptive pills(yasmin) and took 1 pill that night itself.and today the following night she took 1 more and tonight as well..she also says her vagina is very itchy and has some dry whitish/light yellowish discharge But she is very worried.. can she be pregnant? Any possible way to avoid pregnancy? Will she get her periods?

Hello,

Yellow vaginal discharge mainly due to vaginal infection but it should be associated with foul smells.

Consult the gynecologist and get the done vaginal swab test & urine test to confirm the infections. The doctor will give you the following advice:

Take single dose treatment: azithromycin + tinidazole + fluconazole. Wash vagina with warm salted water 2-3 times per day.

Wear pure cotton loose innerwear and maintain proper pelvic hygiene by using V vaginal plus wash.
