What Causes Itching And Crawling Sensation On The Skin?
What are the causes of itchy crawly stinging skin and what cures it? My dr increased my cholesterol tablet Crestor from 10 mg to 20 mg and also prescribed Nortem 10 mg for 2 weeks only and this has happened my skin or could something else be the cause? I am 57 yrs old and am not taking h.r.t.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itching and crawling sensation on the skin. Well this is body's response to any external stimuli that irritates skin. It could sometimes occurs due to contact dermatitis, diabetes , depression , multiple sclerosis , deficiency of vitamin B 12 or anemia, allergic reaction and severe eczema. Need not to worry. Maintain hygiene completely. I would suggest you to immediately consult dermatologist or doctor for proper evaluation of the condition and treatment. Doctor may perform skin test and patch test to find extent of infection. Doctor can give adrenaline injection. For now take over the counter antihistamine drug like benadryl , give cold compresses to affected area several times and apply cream containing steroids.
