Hello,

Yeast infection of vagina is known as vaginal candidiasis. When there is imbalanced normal yeast and bacteria in vagina, it leads to candidiasis (over growth of yeast).

Yeast infections are diagnosed by pelvic examination. Get treated by antifungal cream (miconazole or fluconazole) for 14 days.

For recurrent cases as might be your case:
1. Same treatment will be given as above
2. Ketoconazole 400 mg for 14 days
3. Sexual partner has to be checked and if necessary it is better to use condoms

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vamsi Krishna Chittimoju
