What Causes Itching And Burning Sensation In The Body?

I have numerous areas on my body that itch/burn. It seems to have started with a small watery type blister but now just itches. There is no red spots or streaking, just a burning itch. This has gone on foe the past 24 hours. In one area on my index finger a blood blister has appeared.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

The presence of blood blister on your index finger is due to
- contact dermatitis especially if you have worked outside or have changed detergent
- insect bite

In either case, the primary cause have lead to itchiness all over the body.

Take Benadryl for itchiness. Keep good personal hygiene.

Contact your dermatologist to determine the right diagnosis.

You can send a photo of the blister and skin eruptions for further consultation.

Hope this helps.
