What Causes Itching And Burning Sensation Around The Lips?
Hi, my lips swallow and itchy and have burning sensation around my lips line since last night, and this morning I see some yellowish crust around my lower lips. That was happened last month and got better but didn t get back to normal since its always dry and chops.
It can be caused due to disturbances in microbial flora over the skin, bacterial infection, nasal and topical steroids, fluoride containing toothpaste toothpastes, harsh chemical cosmetics, poor facial hygiene, hormonal imbalances etc..
I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and he can do a thorough clinical evaluation and advise you to apply topically ointments containing Doxycycline, Metronidazole.. You can also be advised oral intake of erythromycin.. Ointments containing Azaelic acid,Pimecrolimus etc can help.. Avoid any skin cosmetic or steroid ointments.. Avoid excess sun exposure, use gel based sunscreen lotion..
Hope this helps..
Regards. Dr.Honey Arora.
