Hi, How are you doing ? Itching, watery discharge suggest there is vaginal infection. These infections are transmitted sexually. Symptoms are 1.Discharge - yellowish or white or green or brownish 2.Itching - around vagina & into the vagina , especially after sex & after periods, more at night 3. Discharge has a foul or fishy smell 4. Heaviness or throbbing sensation in lower abdomen just before periods 5. Feverish sensation around periods 6. Periods blood will be thick darker color. 7. Pain at end of sex, when penis is touching the inner most part. Pain to the back & thighs That swelling you felt is mostly the thickening of vaginal wall due to infection. This needs an abstinence till medication is over. Meet a gynecologist who needs to prescribe oral antibiotics & antifungals to both of you. Local crems for your partner & vaginal pessaries for you. Both have to be treated as it can recur if only is treated. If you leave it untreated you may feel it has reduced , but gradually infection will damage inner lining of uterus , tubes & chances of pregnancy in future will reduce.
