What Causes Itching All Over Body, vagina And Anus?

i have eczema breakouts all over my body that has caused severe itching. I also developed eczema around my vaginal (vulva) area…everything seems to be getting better since I ve been taking dead sea salt baths and allergy pills but now I have severe itching around my anus. I was told this could be pinworms. How do you know if it s eczema or pinworms?

hello and welcome to HCM
Firstly, have you been diagnosed to have eczema in the past? Do you have a history of allergies? The areas involved could also be easily infected by fungal infections, like ring worm which can be very itchy and would require different treatment with antifungal tablets and creams. So if it has not been confirmed, do see a dermatologist once to rule out fungal infections, as they can keep spreading if not treated. Keep the area dry.
If it is eczema, try to narrow down the cause for the eczema and avoid the trigger factors that increase your rashes. It may be food, chemicals, cleansers, soaps used in the area, synthetic clothes or undergarments etc.
It is advisable to take a yearly dose of de worming treatment. Take an albendazole adult dose tab to clear pin worm. Continue allergy pills as long as you have itching. Use a mild soap and avoid chemical cleansers till it heals.
Also rule out other infestations such as bugs and scabies which cause bumps, rashes and severe itching in the body folds and genitals. make a note of similar complaints in family members and contacts as they would need simultaneous treatment as well, to prevent spread.
Follow the treatment as advised and do see a doctor to confirm.
Hope this helps you.
