What Causes Itchiness In The Stomach Long After Having A Tummy Tuck Surgery?

I had a tummy tuck 10 years ago. Withing the last year I m experiencing exasperating itching inside my stomach usually at night when I m in bed or any time I m just resting sitting and not active. I believe it s caused by nerve regeneration. How long can this last?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* Nerve regeneration does not appear at 10 years period, and the causes of acid reflux, peristaltic disorders or else must be evaluated.

Ideal approach would be an upper GI endoscopy for the primary look over the issue and manage accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
