What Causes Itchiness In The Body After Recurrent Vomiting?

My girlfriend is having severe itching all over her body and was vomiting last night. Can a multivitamin for women cause this? She took the vitamin around 5 or 6pm last night, and vomited about 5-6 hours afterwards. She felt very hazy/foggy during the day. Napped after work and woke up around 6:30 pm and has been itching ever since, but with no visible rash or swelling. Is this something that I would need to take her to the hospital for or will it pass? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
