What causes itchiness and burning sensation in vagina for a pregnant?

Hello, recently my vagina has been real itchy and uncomfortable (I am 8 weeks pregnant) so I took a one day monistat to help ease the pain the very next day the itchy sensation continued, I found that by rubbing my vagina the urge goes away so I did and once I got done I had to use the bathroom while peeing I had an awful burning sensation now the discomfort way beyond before, help what is this.

This is some kind of a vaginal infection.
By self treating it during pregnancy, you are being extremely unwise
It can lead to flaring up of infection, and can affect your baby.
Please consult your obstetrician at the earliest.
IT could be a vaginal yeast infection, but the diagnosis should be confirmed before beginning treatment.
You might need vaginal pessaries or even oral antifungals if it is severe.
Associated with that, there could be urinary tract infection.
Please have an internal exam - per vaginum and per speculum and a vaginal swab to confirm the diagnosis.
Also, get your blood sugars tested.
