What Causes Irritation In The Gums?

I have very irritated gums, side of tongue and sensitive glands . Almost look burned like I had boiling water on skin in some spots . A few days ago I bit my tongue and bought KANK A in CVS , like a liquid gel band aid. I think I may have used too muck had a reaction from it. Went to Urgent care and they took culture , awaiting results They prescribed Antibiotics and a soothing mouth rinse ( Magic Mouthwash) It cant be any gum disease because it came up too quickly What s good for gum swelling Thank you Paul

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

The symptoms that you are explaining can be most probably due to allergic reaction causing inflammation inside mouth or stomatits, it can also be due to causes like dry mouth, side effects of medication, burning with chemicals or hot foods, Vitamin B12 deficiency etc..
I do not think that it is due to the KANKA gel..
So my suggestion is to continue using Magic mouthwash and along with it start sucking ice pops as they reduce inflammation and irritation..
You can also do cool water rinses.
Take Vitamin B complex AND Lysine supplements daily..
Drink plenty of water and take soft and bland meals..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
