What Causes Irritation And Inflammation In The Vagina?
The area outside the vagina, I think the Hymen is red and irritated. I also have some bleeding with it from time to time. This has been going on for about two months. I have been treated for a yeast infection, so it s not that. I also had a complete hysterectomy, except the removal of the cervix, six years ago.

Severe irritation with inflammation with bleeding in between can be due to bacterial vaginosis,STD like gonorrhea also when associated with itching it can be Trichomoniasis.
You need investigations Like vaginal swab culture &sensitivity test .it will help in exact selection of drug. & treatment of both sex partners with specific treatment.
