What Causes Irritated Itchy Breasts And Clear Discharge From Areola?
I m 18 years old and my breasts are irritated and itchy. They something leak clear discharge on the areola. It come and goes. I sometimes use antibiotic cream on the area and that sometimes help. I use to just have crusty , dry skin on them but this discharge comes sometimes. I m scared to speak on it because it very embarrassing
Hello, Thank you for asking. I had gone through your query and understand your concern.
An itchy lesion with secretion is suggestive of fungal infection. Areola has many small glands which keeps the area moist and makes it vulnerable to fungal infection.
I suggest you to, 01) Clean the area with warm water and anti septic soap 02) Keep the area dry. 03) Do not touch the other breast after touching the itchy breast. 04) Use an anti fungal ointment. 05) You can take Tab. Citrezine 10mg once a day to reduce itching.
Hope this helps.
You can contact me at any time if you have any further questions. I'll be happy to help.
Regards, Dr. Prathap Kumar
