What Causes Irregular Vaginal Spotting Post Medical Abortion?

I.had a medical abortion in March it was successful but I ve been getting backed up period blood flushing and it s alot out at odd times and it stops completely right after for the day and happens every day stops for a day or two then happens again it s dark blood and sometimes clots is first happened April 19th is this normal I.need help.because it s hard to return to normal life with this happening

Lets get straight to your situation. Your problems might come from different reasons: 1. It could be due to hormonal drugs you have taken to induce abortion and the disruption of the normal hormonal regime of your body. This could last indifinitely if it is not treated properly; Please consult with your doctor for a treatment to restore your normal ovulation cycle; 2. It could be an infection of cervix or uterus so in this case there is need to have a culture of vaginal secretions.
Also you need a vaginal and abdominal ultrasound examination in order to check whether the fetus and placenta have been completely removed and detect potential ovary cysts. Also a PAP test would be helpful to exclude other causes.
