What Causes Irregular Vaginal Bleeding After Taking Morning After Pill?
Hi there. I finished a period on September 17th on the 18th I had sex and condom split. 4 hours later I took morning after pill. 1 week after that I began to bleed for 6 days. 3 weeks passed and I again bled for 6 days. I'm just wondering if this is normal. My periods are always 6 day long with 3 weeks between which is what seems to be happening but I'm just curious on account of it beginning early after taking the morning after pill
Hi, i do care for your concern. The change in hormonal levels usually cause bleeding, In your case the morning after pill, is itself a progestin containing pill, hence change in hormonal levels leads to bleeding. Need not panic as this is drug induced, and you cycles will be normal after that. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
