General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

PCOS is caused due to hormonal imbalance. It is generally not possible to correct the imbalance in one month. It would take about 4 to 6 months of intake of medications to bring the periods back to normal.

Also, PCOS is not a curable disorder. Hormonal imbalance can be regularised by means of medications.

Once the period is regularised, it gives more possibility to conceive. Kindly consult your doctor for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
