What Causes Irregular Periods?

Hello I am 22years old lady with problem of irregular periods. I was tested nd my hormones r all normal. Last year in October I was diagnosed with acute sulphynjitss (sp) and was prescribed 10mg metroprogestrone tablets to take for three months. I started taking in October 2013 and I had my menses in nov but December no. Then I had January till june skipped july nd August then October I had but November non..
My last menses were frm 1st October till 4th October.
Av been trying for a baby. Could the irregular menses affect my fertility? ? Ryt now am talking ova care nd vita woman will these help me have a baby

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Irregular periods are most commonly due to hormonal disorders.
Infections like acute salpingitis can affect the fertility so it should be treated with appropriate antibiotics.
In irregular menstrual cycles, it is difficult to determine the period of ovulation and thus conception time.
However, if you are having difficulty in conception, you can consult a gynecologist for follicular scan to determine the period of ovulation and thus best time for conception.
