Hi i am 32 years old, 265 lbs and I am having sever irregular periods. I have been to the gyn and she found nothing wrong. a little background: On may 5th I had a steroid shot injected in both my knees. on May 9th I started my period. it was very heavy with large clots and lasted 24 days. It stopped abruptly( did not slow down) for 24 days then started up again on June 27th. again it is very heavy and painfull. I have always been on a 55 day cycle since the day I started when I was 17. it would last for 4-5 days and be light.

I did some research since all my test came back normal and found a link to the steroid shots causing the irregular cycle. Is there anything they can do to get the steroid out of my body to correct this? and which dr would I call to report this too? My ortho dr or my GYN? Thanks
