Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hi,

I have gone carefully through your query.Hypothyroidism may be the cause of the irregular menstrual cycle if left untreated. If you are under treatment and the TSH level is within the normal ranges, than another cause should be tried to find. I would suggest to do an ultrasound of the ovaries because at your age polcystic ovarian syndrome is the most common cause of the irregular menstrual cycle.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mirjeta
