What Causes Irregular Periods, Pain ,discomfort And Tiredness?

I had unusally light period in May, and a relatively heavy period in June about 2 weeks after the May period ended. There was no period in July and August. My period came about 3 weeks ago, very light and got heavier with clots last week. I am still having period this week with some clots. There is no pain or discomfort but am feeling very tired. I am 45 years old and my period has always been regular with no pain.Is this perimenopause I am experiencing ? Do I need to seek medical consultation ?

Hello,

Yes, you might be in your perimenopause, and this might be perimenopausal symptoms.

You may seek attention if you have problems like excessive bleeding or abdominal pain etc. Otherwise no need and it will most probably over in few months.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Meena Jethani,
