What Causes Irregular Periods And Mood Swings?

I take nature thyroid, I have been very emotional and my periods have been on off for 2 years now. I have started not taking my thyroid medication on the weekends and I have had 2 periods in a month. I am not convinced I have thyroid issue, I think I have a hormone unbalancing. I am under a lot of stress and have been for several years. I have been diagnosed with perimenipausal. Any suggestions?

Hi I think you should get a thyroid profile and prolactin level and a ultrasound done to see uterus and ovaries to find out the cause of irregular periods. Also get a serum FSH level done to find out if you are perimenopausal or not. You may need some hormonal treatment. Hope it helps.
