What Causes Irregular Periods And Dark Brown Discharge After Abortion?

hi. I had an abortion about a week and a half ago. I bled a little at first but was suprised that it wasnt very much. I havnt been bleeding for a few days. I woke up this morning and there was about a quarter sized.. im not sure what to call it. i glob maybe.. it was dark brown. It didnt look anything like blood. what could this be?

Understand your concern
I think you have incomplete abortion, that is the reason of irregular periods and dark brown discharge. As you did little after abortion suggests abortion was not successful. Retain product of pregnancy may bleeds continue irregular nay time after abortion.
Quarter size brown color glob is retain product of conception that contain fetal tissue. It is dark because it is stale (remain in uterus for long time and then its come out)
I advice you to consult the gynecologist and get the done USG scan.
If incomplete abortion will be there, should be removed by D & C or misoprostol.
Possibility of ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, hormonal dysfunction should also be rule out by consulting the gynecologist.
