What Causes Irregular Periods Along With Vaginal Spotting And Abdominal Pain?

I am a44yr old female. Smoker. I do not hv a menstrual cycle and recently was spotting. It lasted2-3days and accompanied with constant stomach ache,nt cramps. I am still having stomach ache and last night, when I layed down,I experienced pain between my shoulders. Could this be gallbladder or something more serious?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Spotting and abdominal cramps is suggestive of onset of menstrual cycles.
As you have mentioned that you do not have menstrual cycle - do you imply that you are post-menopausal?
In case you are post-menopausal, when did you achieve menopause?
At the onset of menopause, intermittent spotting occur for few months before there is complete cessation of menstrual cycle.
However, if the spotting has occurred long after the onset of menopause, you need to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment and an endometrial curettage or biopsy.
Spotting or bleeding after onset of menopause may be suggestive of endometrial hyperplasia or endometrial growth.

Thanks and take care
