What Causes Irregular Periods After Withdrawal Of Depo Shot?
I have been off of the depo shot since November of 2014 and ever since I had my first period after stopping the shot, I ve been having a period every other week. Literally having a period twice a month pretty much. And my fiance and I have been trying to conceive but nothing seems to be working especially when I can t seem to get a read on when I m ovulating. Is this normal
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. Some of them experience the way you are complaining of irregular periods after withdrawal of depot shot. This is mainly because your body takes some time to get back to normal. It may take about one to two months for your periods to be regular again. Once your periods are regular, your ovulation timing would be proper and fertility chances are more. Even now though your periods are more frequent than normal, it will not affect your ovulation or fertility. So keep trying and wait patiently for some time for everything to normalize. All the best.
