What Causes Irregular Menstruation While On Primolut N?

My doctor asked me to take premolute-N tablet for treatment of my irregular periods. It usually used to occur 1s in 2 months plus 2 or 3days. So for the treatment she said to take 2 tablets morning and night 2days daily and 1 tablet following next day morning. I am unmarried n only 21years old. I got my last period on oct 20. She adviced me not to take tablet in nov. And wait for dec 20 , if still it doesnot occur on the actual date do the following treatment. Dont wait for that 2-3days. I usually get white discharge on my date days if i dont get period. I dont have aby infection as well. Now i am really worried for my health issue. I know because of stress this happens but i cannot take it out of my mind.

Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. In the current scenario, medication to induce a period will not be sufficient to cure your problem. You need to go for further evaluation including clinical exam, sonogram of the pelvis, complete hormone profile, blood counts and urinalysis. Though stress can delay periods, this cannot be the cause for persistent delay. It is also possible that you have prolonged cycle length and this can be normal with you. This is likely because you are experiencing a cycle once in 2 months. You should also maintain a healthy weight, regular exercise and eat a healthy diet. Appropriate management can be planned after investigation, so do not worry. Wish you good health.
