What Causes Irregular Menstrual Bleeding?

Hi, I have recently had a pelvic scan for irregular bleeding which has now settled. The results of the scan showed nothing on my ovaries but a thickening of 19mm of my womb lining. I was 2 weeks post menstrual cycle and wondering what is a normal reading ?? I am on a 3-4 month waiting list to see a gynaecologist?? Thank You

Hi, I think your endometrial thickness is on a higher side. It can happen if there is any growth in endometrial like a polyp. Polyp can also lead to irregular bleed. Get a thyroid profile and prolactin level and a ultrasound done to find any other cause of irregular bleeding. Hope it helps.
