Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Regarding your concern, I would explain that long-term (chronic) anemia related to vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to skipped heartbeats.

But other possible causes of heartbeats are: anxiety, electrolyte imbalance, and thyroid dysfunction. Coming to this point, I would recommend consulting with your doctor for some new tests (complete blood count, blood electrolytes, and thyroid hormone levels). If these tests result are normal, you should consider anxiety as the main cause of your troubles.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka
