I am recovering from a colon resection after the removal of 3 from the sigmoid colon due to a level 2 endometrium cancer. It has been 13 months since the surgery. My oncologist put me on amitiza8:icg 2x daily . I had been on Meri Lax one a day, which gave me irregular and unpredictable bowl movements, thus the prescription for amitiza. I stopped taking the Meri Lax with the Rx. I have not had a normal bowel movement in four days in size or frequency. My question is , can I combine the Meri Lax and amitiza. The Anitiza has produced a bloated abdomen and unpleasant fluctuates.
