What Causes Involuntary Movements In Arms When Diagnosed With Parkinson S Disease?
81 year old male diagnosed with Parkisons which is being controlled by doctor but suddenly feels unwell and has developed into involuntary movements, waving arms etc. Isn t aware of whats going on. Developed fever but being controlled by antibiotic. Is in hospital care right now waiting for MRI but they have no clues as to whats causing this.
Tremors (involuntary movements) is the one of the major sign in Parkinsonism. Alterations in the stimulation in the substantia nigra, the basal ganglia, and the thalamus, and changes in the level and action of the neurotransmitterdopamine are all related to each other and to the production of the tremors. Fever is not related to this.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. C.ELANCHEZHIAN, General & Family Physician
