What Causes Involuntary Jerks In The Body While Meditating?

Excuse my bad grammar but, I have been doing a meditation called kundalini meditation I also have been listening to very high binaural beats. Much like other people I have been experiencing strange symptoms. I have been experiencing vibrations in my body, and weird muscle spasms that involuntary body jerks. I been hearing a loud buzzing noise inside my head when I am in a quite room. I also have been feeling like I have been floating and I can barely walk straight. I have been seeing hallucinations of what a spiritual teacher would call energy. This is only half of the symptoms, butvI don t know how to get rid of these symptoms and they seem to have gotten worse even I haven t done kundalini meditation, or listen to binaural beats in a long time. I believe I might have a brain waves dysfunction or maybe even problems with my nerves. It is very very very hard to continue to live like this.

Hello,

It looks like you have been meditating on Kundalini quite sincerely & honestly.

These are symptoms that are experienced by many meditators, your teacher(Guru) might have informed you in the theory classes but you might not have paid heed to it. Teachers generally explain everything.

Kundalini is all about emptying yourself by meditation & allowing the kundalini energy to go up from your spine to the brain.

You help portals to get open for the spiritual realm to enter in & awaken the inactive parts of the brain.

These are esoteric things which few understand. This awakening can be a scary experience for some as may be for you.

If you feel discomfort with your nerves & your brain waves make you get sick you may stop the meditation for a while & get a medical checkup done first. You need rest do not take the stress.

Every individual is unique, stress absorbing levels are different. You are suggested not to take stress unnecessarily. Some (not all) who can't handle this awakening can get mentally imbalanced or even try to commit suicide due to restlessness.

Take it easy. Take a rest. Listen to normal music of your choice, dance, sing, take nutritious food, stay well hydrated, make new friends, go to picnics & relax. Stay happy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
